KQH KQWH Series Single-Stage Vertical Horizontal Chemical Pump

KQH and KQWH series single-stage horizontal and single-stage vertical chemical pumps are based on the original chemical pumps of our company. We fully consider the particularity of the structural requirements during the use of chemical pumps, learn from advanced structural experience at home and abroad, and use separate shafts. Shaft type, special clamping structure, has the characteristics of extremely simple structure, high concentricity, small vibration, reliable use, easy maintenance, etc. It is a new generation of single-stage chemical pump innovatively developed.

KQH / KQWH SERIES SINGLE-STAGE HORIZONTAL / VERTICAL CHEMICAL PUMP

The pump has simple structure, strong reliability and easy maintenance.

Adopting a special design structure, the structure is simple, the unit occupies a small area, and it is reliable in use and maintenance. It is a new generation of single-stage chemical pumps innovatively developed.

The pump shaft adopts split-shaft design and special clamping structure

Fundamentally avoid damage to the motor shaft caused by corrosion of the pump shaft, ensuring stable and reliable operation of the motor

The pump body, pump cover, impeller and other parts are precision cast.

Using national standard vertical and horizontal motors and this series of pump covers, pump shafts, connecting frames and other parts, the entire series has maximum versatility.

  1. Basic material types

Casting material of current-passing parts: ZG0Cr18Ni9 or ZG0Cr17Ni12Mo2, etc. The above materials are the normal supply materials of our company’s chemical pumps. All materials within the above material range can be supplied according to the normal production cycle.

3.Special types of materials

Sometimes, according to the user’s usage conditions, the above materials cannot meet the usage requirements. In this case, negotiation between both parties is required, and the material type needs to be specifically determined.

Instructions for selecting special materials:

ZG1Cr13 and 2Cr13 stainless steel have good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere and water vapor, and can be used in fresh water, sea water, salt water solutions of a certain temperature, nitric acid, food media, and organic acids, organic compounds, salts, alkali and oils with low concentrations. Also has sufficient corrosion resistance. However, the corrosion resistance is very low in sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hot phosphoric acid, hot nitric acid, and molten alkali.

ZG0Cr18Ni9 and 0Cr18Ni9 have better corrosion resistance than pure chromium steel and have a wider application range.

The corrosion resistance of the above materials to different media is shown in Table 1 and Table 2 attached to the sample.

Special note: Due to the complexity and diversity of chemical media, if users have any questions when selecting materials, please consult the relevant departments of our company’s technical center or technical support department for detailed consultation.

This series of pumps uses M3N or MG1 rubber bellows mechanical seals for mechanical seals based on specific usage conditions.

Normally, M3N mechanical seals are widely used. It has high stability and good reliability, and is suitable for cleaning media without impurity particles. Mechanical seals can be used in some acid, alkali, salt, oil, beverage and organic chemical media applications through different combinations of materials of each component.

Mg1 type mechanical seal is the most commonly used seal. Can be used in wastewater containing particles. Not suitable for use in organic solvent media.

According to the actual situation, the materials of each component of the mechanical seal can be selected as follows:

(1) For the M3N series rotating ring materials available:

Antimony-impregnated graphite (A), resin-impregnated graphite (B), mounted pressureless sintered silicon carbide (Q12), mounted reaction sintered silicon carbide (Q22), mounted nickel-based tungsten carbide (U22), etc.

Optional stationary ring materials:

Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (Q1), reaction sintered silicon carbide (Q2), etc.

(2) For the MG1 series rotating ring materials available:

Antimony impregnated graphite (A), resin impregnated graphite (B), pressureless sintered silicon carbide (Q1), etc. The stationary ring materials can be selected from: pressureless sintered silicon carbide (Q1) and alumina ceramics (V), etc.

(3) Auxiliary seal materials can be selected from:

Ethylene-propylene rubber (E), nitrile rubber (P), fluorine rubber (V), etc.

The application temperature range of nitrile rubber is -54~+120C. It has excellent corrosion resistance to mineral oil, animal and vegetable oils and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Resistant to alkali and oxidizing dilute acid corrosion. Can be used at +100℃ for a long time. When selecting, please refer to Table 3 on the attached page of the sample.

The application temperature range of ethylene-propylene rubber is -60~+150℃. Resistant to corrosion by dilute acids, alkalis, and salts, but not resistant to corrosion by oxidizing acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum products. When selecting, please refer to Table 4 on the attached page of the sample.

Fluorine rubber is resistant to high temperatures and has excellent corrosion resistance. Resistant to various types of acids, alkalis, salts, and petroleum products. When selecting, please refer to Table 5 in the attachment of the sample.

(4) The materials for springs and other structural parts can be selected from:

0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti(G), 0Cr18Ni9(F), 2Cr13 or 3Cr13(F1), etc.

Chromium steel 2Cr13 or 3Cr13 is used in weakly corrosive media, and stainless steel (0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti, 0Cr18Ni9) is used in highly corrosive media.

 

  1. The segmented design of the pump shaft of this series of pumps fundamentally avoids corrosion damage to the motor shaft. This completely ensures the stable and reliable long-term operation of the motor.
  2. This series of pumps has a reliable and novel pump shaft structure. The horizontal pump can easily use the B35 structure standard motor to directly drive the water pump, and the vertical pump can easily use the V1 structure standard motor to directly drive the water pump.
  3. The pump cover and coupling frame of this series of pumps are designed as two independent parts with reasonable structure.
  4. This series of pumps has a very simple structure and is easy to maintain. Once the pump shaft needs to be replaced, it is easy to disassemble and install, and the positioning is accurate and reliable.
  5. The pump shaft and motor shaft of this series are rigidly connected. The advanced and reasonable processing and assembly technology makes the pump shaft have high concentricity, low vibration and low noise.
  6. Compared with horizontal chemical pumps of general structure, this series of horizontal pumps has a particularly compact structure, and the unit’s floor space is greatly reduced.
  7. This series of pumps adopts excellent hydraulic model design. The performance of the pump is stable and efficient.
  8. The blanks of the pump body, pump cover, impeller and other parts of this series of pumps are precision cast with investment molds, with high dimensional accuracy, smooth flow channels and beautiful appearance.
  9. The entire series of parts such as pump covers, shafts and coupling frames of this series of pumps has the greatest versatility.

Product Usage

KQH and KQWH series chemical pumps can be used to a certain extent in chemical industry, oil transportation, food, beverage, medicine, water treatment, environmental protection and some acids, alkalis, salts and other application fields according to the specific usage conditions of users. They are used to transport certain Corrosive media that does not contain solid particles or a small amount of particles and has a viscosity similar to water. Not recommended for use in toxic, flammable, explosive, or highly corrosive situations.

(1) Nitric acid and applications in nitric acid industry

In the process of producing nitric acid by ammonia oxidation method, the dilute nitric acid (50~60%) generated in the stainless steel absorption tower flows out from the bottom of the tower into the stainless steel storage tank, and is transported to the next process with a stainless steel pump. Pay attention to the medium temperature and inlet pressure here.

(2) Applications in phosphoric acid and phosphoric acid industry

For pure acid, chromium 13 stainless steel is only resistant to aerated dilute acid, and 18-8 chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel is only resistant to aerated dilute acid. The best phosphoric acid-resistant material is chromium nickel molybdenum (0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti) stainless steel, etc. However, for the phosphoric acid production process, the material selection of the pump is much more complicated due to the corrosion problems caused by the presence of impurities in the phosphoric acid, and must be treated with caution.

(3) Application in sodium chloride and salt industry (brine water, sea water, etc.)

Chromium-nickel stainless steel has a very low uniform corrosion rate against neutral and slightly alkaline sodium chloride solutions, seawater and salt water at a certain temperature and concentration, and is widely used. However, it should be noted that dangerous localized corrosion may occur in some cases. Stainless steel pumps are widely used in the food industry for handling brine and salted food. However, attention must be paid to media crystallization issues and mechanical seal selection issues.

(4) Application in sodium hydroxide and alkali industry

Chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel can withstand sodium hydroxide below 40~50% to about 80°C, but it is not resistant to high-concentration and high-temperature alkali liquid. Chromium stainless steel is only suitable for low temperature and low concentration alkali solutions. Attention must be paid to the problem of medium crystallization.

(5) Application in oil transportation

Attention must be paid to the viscosity of the medium, the selection of rubber parts, and whether the motor has explosion-proof requirements, etc.

(6) Application in pharmaceutical industry

According to the transmission medium of the pump, medical pumps can be divided into the following two categories: one type is ordinary water pumps, hot water pumps and wastewater treatment system pumps used in public projects; the other type is used to transport pharmaceutical liquids, intermediates, pure water, acids, etc. Pumps for process media such as alkali. The former has lower requirements for pumps and can be handled by pumps used in general chemical equipment, while the latter has higher requirements for pumps. The pumps must meet the technical requirements for centrifugal pumps used in medical equipment.

(7) Application in food and beverage industry

In the food and beverage industry, the medium is non-corrosive or weakly corrosive, but rust is never allowed, and the purity of the medium is very high. In this case, a stainless steel pump can be used.

  1. The performance parameters listed in the sample are only for normal temperature water.
  2. When transporting non-aqueous media, users must clearly understand the following factors:

①Media name and composition, operating temperature and temperature range, concentration and impurity content;

② Viscosity and medium specific gravity; relevant data shows that the applicable viscosity range of centrifugal pumps does not exceed 150mm/s. When the viscosity of the medium is ≤20mm/s, the performance parameters of the pump do not need to be converted, but when the viscosity is ≥20mm/s, they must be converted.

The supporting motor power listed in the sample is based on normal temperature clean water. When the specific gravity of the medium is different from water, the supporting power needs to be recalculated.

③Toxicity, explosiveness, and flammability;

④ Saturated steam pressure or inlet pressure;

⑤ Whether there are factors such as precipitation, crystallization or volatilization of the medium;

Customers must truly and comprehensively provide the above data or technical requirements, and fill in the relevant options in the “KQH, KQWH Chemical Pump Selection Technical Data Sheet” so that the manufacturer can correctly and reasonably select materials, seals and matching motors, and it is also convenient for the manufacturer. Conduct further tracking and understanding of customer usage.

  1. “KQH, KQWH Chemical Pump Selection Technical Data Sheet”, as part of the contract review content, will be reviewed and confirmed by the relevant departments and the original will be archived for future reference. Its copy will be issued to the production department along with the order to facilitate the organization of production.
