The KWFB series unsealed automatic control self suction pump is a new product that our company has improved and innovated based on the advanced experience of domestic and foreign related products. It is a substitute for traditional similar products in China.

This product has multiple functions and advantages such as temperature resistance, pressure resistance, wear resistance, and “first drainage, permanent self suction”. It is the most ideal product to replace traditional WFB type unsealed self-priming pumps, long axis submerged pumps, submersible pumps, submersible sewage pumps, and other types of pumps.

According to the different media, the following can be used:

  1. Material of overcurrent components (pump body, pump cover, etc.): Q235, 0Cr18Ni9, standard configuration is Q235. The material of the flow components (impeller, guide vanes, auxiliary impeller) is ZG310-570, ZG0 Cr18Ni9, and the standard configuration is ZG310-570.
  2. Pump shaft material: Steel 45, 0Cr18Ni9.3Cr13, standard configuration is Steel 45. The corrosion resistance of the above materials to different media is shown in the table attached to the sample.

At the moment of pump shutdown, the electric air control valve at the inlet quickly opens, allowing external air to quickly enter the suction pipeline, cutting off the siphon phenomenon from water to the inlet pipeline, ensuring that there is enough water in the pump chamber to participate in self suction during the next pump start, truly achieving “first drainage, permanent self suction”, and is an integrated product of electromechanical and instrumentation.

  7. The special structure of the guide vane design, like multiple exhaustors, enhances the suction capacity and has the outstanding feature of quickly completing the self suction process. Compared with conventional WFB pumps using a single volute water chamber, the self suction time is shortened by more than 1/3 to 1/2.

2.When transporting special media, please indicate the name, density, temperature, viscosity, concentration, particle size, and other information of the media in the contract, so that we can choose the correct material scheme.

Instructions for use

Water pump section

  1. After installation, fill the drainage port or pump body ball valve with the discharged medium. For the first drainage, do not use it in the future

Necessary drainage, please tighten the “drainage port” and cap or close the ball valve to prevent air leakage and affect self suction.

  1. Install a buffer plate structure filter screen (optional) at the bottom of the suction port as needed to prevent damage to the water pump and shadow caused by excessive particle absorption

Sound self suction function.

  1. When transporting concentrated sulfuric acid, it is prohibited to use water for drainage to prevent personal and equipment accidents.

Before starting, it is necessary to check whether the water pump spindle is flexible. Check whether the running direction is consistent with the turning mark by jogging, and the turning direction is clockwise when viewed from the motor.

  1. The weight of the suction and discharge pipelines should not be supported on the inlet and outlet flanges of the water pump, but should be fixed on the support (to be provided by the user). The pipeline connections must be tight and not leak, otherwise it will affect the self suction function and flow head.
  2. When discharging liquids containing crystals or precipitates, if the pump is stopped and not used for a period of time, the drainage liquid from the pump chamber should be drained from the “vent” to prevent crystals or precipitates from remaining in the pump chamber. The next time it is used, the liquid should be added again. When reusing, follow the first step to redo the drainage.
  3. When discharging and injecting liquid without crystals or precipitates, if the pump is stopped and not used for a period of time, before starting, it should be checked whether the liquid storage in the pump is sufficient. If it is insufficient, it should be replenished before starting.
  4. For outdoor use in winter, hot water or steam coil heating should be provided after shutdown, and the liquid inside the pump can also be emptied to prevent freezing and cracking.
  5. A vertical pipe of 0.5-1 meter should be added to the pump outlet pipe. Then turn.
  6. It is not advisable to increase the diameter of the pump inlet pipeline and connect multiple pumps in parallel for a common water intake pipe, as this will increase the self suction time and reduce the self suction height.
  7. It is not allowed to run for a long time when the outlet valve is closed, otherwise it may cause vibration of the water pump and even vaporization of the conveyed liquid, which may cause equipment damage and personal injury.
  8. It is not allowed to use the gate valve on the suction pipeline to regulate the flow rate, in order to avoid cavitation.
  9. Continuous operation below 30% of the design flow rate is not allowed, unless a bypass pipe is added.
  10. Continuous operation above 120% of the design flow rate is not allowed to avoid cavitation and motor overpower.

15.When injecting a medium that produces bubbles, has a high specific gravity, a high head, and a high static pressure in the water column of the discharge pipeline system, in order to accelerate the exhaust speed and shorten the self suction time, a bypass pipeline must be installed between the pump outlet check valve and gate valve. The pump start-up process is as follows:

① Close the outlet gate valve.

② Open the gate valve of the bypass pipeline.

③ Start the pump.

④ After the bypass pipeline is discharged normally, open the outlet gate valve first, and then close the gate valve of the bypass pipeline.

The process of stopping the pump is as follows:

①Stop the pump.② Close the outlet gate valve.

16.When multiple high head self priming pumps are used in parallel, in order to accelerate the self priming time, it is also required to install a bypass pipeline between the pump outlet check valve and gate valve. The process of starting and stopping the pump is the same as that of 11.

  1. To prevent water overflow at the auxiliary impeller during pump shutdown or extremely low flow rate. The overflow pipe at the pump cover should be connected to a rubber hose leading to the trench.
  2. The installation height of the water pump should ensure that it is lower than the pump’s self suction height when operating at the lowest water level, and special attention should be paid to the sealing of the suction pipeline to avoid air leakage and affecting the pump’s self suction capacity and normal operation.
  3. The self suction height value in the sample is the installation height at which no cavitation occurs within the operating range under standard conditions (pumping clean water at room temperature at one atmospheric pressure). The smaller the flow rate, the greater the self suction height value.

If the on-site conditions (altitude H and water temperature T) of the pump are different from the standard state, the self suction height value Hs in the sample needs to be corrected, and the correction formula is: [Hs]=Hs Hh Ht.

In the formula, Hh is the difference between the standard atmospheric pressure and the local altitude, and Ht is the difference between the vaporization pressure corresponding to the on-site water temperature and the vaporization pressure corresponding to normal temperature clean water.

Electric air control valve section

  1. Non professional electrical workers, please do not open the protective cover to prevent electric shock accidents.
  2. When installing after updating or repairing, the cable must be reliably connected to the water pump motor terminal.
  3. Please do not remove the sealing part of the pump body at will. Before dismantling, the maintenance personnel. Please pay attention to the positioning marks for proper resetting.
  4. The rubber hose connected to the water pump. It must be tightened without air leakage, otherwise it will affect self suction.
