The KZE type centrifugal process pump for the petrochemical industry is designed and manufactured according to API610 specifications.

The product has the following characteristics:

  1. The structure is safe and reliable, and the pump operates stably.
  2. The pump has high average efficiency and low energy consumption, making it the ideal energy-saving product of choice.
  3. The pump has good cavitation performance, which is unmatched by other similar products. – The NPSHr value of general products is around lm. Among them, the minimum NPSHr value of many products can be as low as about 0.5m, and some products are even lower. Since low NPSHr value can reduce the installation height of petrochemical equipment, the KZE type pump can be used for Users to save investment.

4. The performance range of the pump is very wide. The flow rate Q can reach a maximum of 3000m/h, and the lift H can reach a maximum of 230m. Moreover, the flow rate and lift of the pump products are closely spaced, which provides convenience for users to select pumps.

5. There are three cooling methods for bearings: air cooling, fan cooling and water cooling. They can be selected according to the different operating temperatures of the pump. Among them, fan cooling is especially suitable for areas with water shortage or poor water quality.

6. High degree of standardization and strong versatility. In addition to the interchangeability of general standard parts, the impellers and bearing suspension components of the KZE and KZA series pumps are also interchangeable.

※In order to save energy, the impeller is cut on the original basis. Between two adjacent curves, one or two cuts are added for larger head distances. They are represented by L, M.N.X.Y respectively, while maintaining the diameter and diameter of the original pump cutting impeller. The corresponding cutting code remains unchanged. For specific specifications, please refer to the performance curve of each pump.

Introduction to structural features
  1. The pump is a single-stage, single-suction, horizontal cantilever centrifugal pump (see structure diagram)
  2. The pump suction port is a horizontal axis, and the pump discharge port is a vertical center-up structure, and they are both cast together with the pump body.
  3. The pump body is of volute type, radially split, and has horizontal center support.
  4. The impeller is integrally cast, with a rear sealing ring and a balance hole. It is used to balance the axial force of the pump. The residual axial force is carried by a pair of back-to-back angular contact ball bearings.
  5. The shaft seal cavity is integrated with the pump cover and can be filled with packing seals and various mechanical seals. There is an optional water-cooling jacket outside the shaft seal cavity. The water-cooling jacket must be equipped with special requirements or when the temperature of the conveying medium is water exceeds 80’C, and the temperature of hydrocarbons exceeds 120’C.
  6. The bearing box is equipped with a set of single row radial short cylindrical roller bearings and a set (two sets) of thrust ball bearings installed back to back. Use oil throw ring to lubricate with thin oil. The oil level is controlled simultaneously by the oil mark (oil sight window) and the oil cup. The oil cup can also play a role in automatically adjusting the oil level. There are heat sinks cast on the outer surface of the bearing box, which can be air-cooled (t<120’C). Fan cooling or water cooling (t>120’C) can also be selected. Suspension feet are added to the outer end of the bearing box to assist the stable operation of the pump.
  7. In order to easily remove the impeller, shaft, bearing, shaft seal and other parts without having to disassemble the suction pipeline and discharge pipeline during pump maintenance. This series of pumps uses an extended flexible diaphragm coupling component, which is also equipped with a coupling cover for safety reasons.
  8. The pump units all provide a common base with anchor bolts.
  9. The pump inlet and outlet flanges are equipped with butt-welded steel flanges before leaving the factory, and the connection type with the device inlet and outlet pipes has national standards (GB/T9115.1-). Ministry of Chemical Industry standards HG20617- (American system) and HG20595- (European system), three types are selected by users.
  10. Piping system: Whether it is a seal flushing piping system or a cooling water piping system, they are all equipped by the pump manufacturer according to the properties and temperature of the transported liquid.

Cooling water

In order for the pump to work normally, the shaft seal cavity, bearings and pump bracket must be cooled in different forms according to the working conditions. The cooling water pipeline layout should comply with API682 specifications. Generally, the pump is fully equipped, leaving only the inlet and outlet joints.

The minimum nominal diameter of the cooling water line is 1/2”.

The cooling water volume for each branch is recommended to be 0.3-0.7m3/h. Its pressure is 0.2-0.3MPa.

Shaft seals use different seals according to the pump delivery medium and its working conditions such as temperature and pressure. The layout of the sealing pipeline system should comply with API682 specifications. If the customer does not specifically request it, it will be installed by the pump factory.

The flushing pressure and oil volume of sealing oil are considered by the pump manufacturer. Values are provided only when external supply is required. The sealing oil volume of each pump is as follows:

The pressure of the sealing oil is generally 0.07-0.1MPa higher than the pressure of the sealing chamber. If the conveying medium is easily vaporized. It should be 0.175-0.2MPa higher than the vaporization pressure. The pressure p of the sealing chamber of the KZE pump is generally taken as: p=ps where: ps – suction pressure

The coolers, filters, orifice plates, flow indicators and other accessories required on the pipeline are all supplied by the pump factory.

※When the relevant content in the API682 specification changes, the process pump piping system will also change accordingly.

Ordering instructions
  1. The model, specification, material, cooling and sealing piping system and prime mover of the pump should be determined according to the conditions of use. When ordering, the flow rate, head, suction pressure or device NPSH, density, temperature and liquid name should be provided and pointed out. The flammability, explosiveness, toxicity, corrosiveness, crystallinity of the liquid and whether the sealing liquid is allowed to penetrate into the pump liquid.
  2. If there are special requirements for the prime mover, the user should explain the site conditions, ambient temperature and humidity, installation location and its category (explosion-proof, fire-proof grade requirements), voltage size, etc.
  3. This series of pumps generally have mechanical seals. If a packing seal is required, it can be supplied by the user when ordering. However, our company actively recommends that it is more appropriate and economical to use the original mechanical seal when commissioning a new device, and practice has proven that it is more suitable and economical. Got this.
  4. The mechanical seal of the pump can be selected according to the unit specified by the user. If the user does not request it, it can be selected by the pump manufacturer based on working conditions or supply sources.
  5. It is not necessary to cut the impeller according to A. B. C-. It can be cut as needed, but it needs to be stated in the “Data Sheet”.
  6. All the above must be filled in the “Centrifugal Pump Data Sheet”. You can also order according to the pump model. In this case, there is no need to fill in the “Centrifugal Pump Data Sheet”.
  7. When the pump leaves the factory, it does not include any accessories. It must be re-ordered when the user needs it. It can be ordered with a complete pump or separately. And inform the pump model, parts name and code, quantity, material, etc. If it is an impeller, the impeller size or specifications also need to be stated.
