KZJL series pumps are vertical, axial suction, single-stage single-suction, single-shell centrifugal slurry pumps.

The pump rotates clockwise when viewed from the direction of the prime mover.
KZJL slurry pump mainly consists of impeller, volute, rear guard plate, shaft sleeve, bracket, support plate, shaft, bearing body and other parts. The impeller, volute and rear guard are made of wear-resistant materials. The impeller and shaft are connected by threads, and the volute, bracket, and bearing body are connected by bolts. The bearing body adopts a single row cylindrical roller bearing at the pump end, and the driving end adopts angular contact ball bearings installed in pairs back to back, which can withstand the maximum axial load of the pump. The bearing body is equipped with a motor support, which can be driven by direct drive or belt drive. The bracket is equipped with a support plate, which can be easily placed on a steel frame foundation or concrete foundation. The pump is immersed in the slurry pool and works. The suction port of the pump body is equipped with a filter to prevent large particles from entering the pump. When the pump cannot meet the depth requirements of the slurry pool, a suction pipe can be added to the suction port to meet the requirements of different working conditions.
The concentration of ash (slag) slurry and coal slurry is ≤45%, and the concentration of slurry and heavy medium is ≤60%.
- Mining and metallurgy: transportation of black and non-ferrous crude ores, concentrates and tailings slurry.

- Coal: transportation of various media.
- Chemical industry: transportation of various abrasive slurries in phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer and other plants.
- Light industry: paper making, wood industry, sugar factory and other industries.
When lifting a pump with a packaging box, the wire rope should be tied according to the lifting position noted on the packaging box. When lifting, the bottom or sides of the box must not be impacted or violently vibrated. The box must not be tilted excessively. The box must not be placed on objects with sharp edges, nor can it be placed upside down. When lifting a pump without a packaging box, follow the following requirements:

(1) When lifting the pump, the motor support and pump bracket should be lifted at two locations close to the volute side. Try lifting first. If the whole machine is unbalanced, then readjust the lifting position.
(2) The area where the wire rope contacts the pump body should be protected with soft objects to avoid damaging the appearance of the pump or causing the wire rope to be cut off.
(1) Inspection before installation
The pump has been inspected and tested before leaving the factory and must be installed correctly to ensure it is in good working condition. Before installation, you should first check according to the “Packing List” whether the model and parameters of the equipment are correct, whether the parts are complete and intact, and whether the technical data and quality certificates carried with the equipment are complete. After checking that everything is correct, you should read the relevant technical information in detail, especially this instruction manual and samples.
Only after mastering the relevant technical requirements and operating essentials can installation be carried out, and avoid blind operation.
(2) Motor test rotation
During trial rotation, the motor and pump should be completely disconnected (that is, the coupling pin or belt should not be connected). Motor steering adjustment: The motor’s steering should ensure that it is consistent with the pump’s specified steering, and no reverse rotation is allowed. , otherwise it will cause the impeller to trip or damage other components. When adjusting the rotation of the motor, make sure that the rotation of the motor meets the requirements before it can be connected to the pump. Blind starting of the motor is never allowed! ! !
(3) Pump installation, alignment and adjustment
For pump units using coupling direct transmission, the coaxiality of the unit is generally guaranteed by the machining accuracy of the motor support. After the coupling is installed, you only need to check the parallelism of both ends of the coupling. Check the parallelism of both ends of the coupling with a feeler gauge. Use a feeler gauge to check the gap between each pair of couplings. The maximum error Δ (Δ=δ2-δ1) should not be greater than 0.1mm.

After adjustment, install the pins and check the tightness of the pins to ensure that each pin is stressed evenly;
For belt-driven pump units, the parallelism of the pump shaft and the motor shaft should be ensured, and the pulley is usually used for alignment. Generally, use a ruler to find the alignment against the flat pulley end face. If the gap is small, you can use a pull wire to align it against the flat belt end.

(4) Filling requirements for KZJL40-21 and KZJL40-25 fillers
In order to ensure the performance of the pump, this model of pump is equipped with a packing seal, and the packing has been added before leaving the factory.
When inspecting and installing packing, the incisions for packing in each ring should be staggered by 120°. After the packing is pressed, adjust the tightness until the backrest wheel of the hand plate can move. It cannot be too tight. Generally, carbon fiber-impregnated PTFE packing or PTFE packing is used. The packing specification is 10×10×226 (mm). The packing is installed below the liquid level and does not require cooling. The packing sleeve is made of wear-resistant material.
(5) Grease filling requirements
The pump has been filled with 3# universal lithium-based grease during installation. It needs to be filled with lithium-based grease again before the pump is officially put into operation. If the pump has been out of the factory for a long time, lithium-based grease needs to be added during trial operation.
(6) Tighten all fasteners with a wrench.
Clean tools and debris placed on the unit to prevent accidents during pump operation
After the pump unit is installed and adjusted, it can be put into trial operation. Qualified customers should first use clean water for trial operation
OK, wait until the operation is normal before transporting the medium.
(1) Start
Before starting, check the entire unit according to the following steps:
① Pipes and valves should be supported separately. There is a sealing gasket at the pump flange. When tightening the connecting bolts, attention should be paid to the height of the sealing surface of the pump flange. The bolts should not be overtightened to avoid damage to the sealing surface.
② Before starting the pump, you must turn it manually according to regulations and confirm that the rotation is flexible before starting.
③ Check that the liquid level must submerge the volute and reach the starting liquid level (100mm~140mm above the center line of the volute).
④ If the outlet is equipped with a valve, adjust the opening of the outlet valve to 1/4.
⑤ Start the unit. After the rotation speed is normal, open the outlet pressure gauge. If the pressure is normal and stable, the outlet valve can be slowly opened until it is fully opened or the working condition requirements are met.
Note: Starting the pump with the outlet valve fully open will cause motor overload; using a small inlet valve to control flow will cause pump cavitation and should be avoided.
(2) Operation
After normal operation, the following items should be observed:
① Whether the flow rate and lift (inlet and outlet pressure) of the pump are stable and meet the process requirements.
② Whether the current is stable.
③ Check whether the unit makes any abnormal noise and whether the noise is too loud.
④ Bearing temperature rise ≤35℃, maximum temperature ≤75℃.
⑤ The vibration value should be kept within the specified range.
⑥ The operating liquid level cannot be higher than the red painted line 350mm below the support plate, and cannot be lower than the volute suction inlet or the suction pipe suction inlet.
If the flow rate decreases, the power decreases, the outlet pressure decreases or no water comes out during operation, large particles may block the filter screen, suction inlet or impeller flow path, causing the pump to not work properly. Pay attention to clearing the blockage in time. If the pump Unstable installation may cause
Pump vibration.
(3) Stop the pump
If possible, let the pump deliver clean water for a while before stopping the pump to clear the slurry in the pump and pipelines.
① Close the pump outlet valve.
② Stop the machine.
Note: It is never allowed to stop the pump when the outlet valve is fully open, otherwise water hammer will easily occur and cause damage to the pump or pipe fittings.

In order to ensure safe and reliable operation of the pump and give full play to the equipment’s performance, correct daily maintenance and correct disassembly and assembly methods are very important. To this end, based on the characteristics of this series of submersible slurry pumps, we have put forward the following maintenance and disassembly requirements for customers’ reference.
- Special attention:
For newly installed or overhauled pumps, be sure to test the steering of the motor before putting on the coupling pin. If the pump is driven by a belt, you should test the direction of the motor before installing the transmission belt. The motor must not drive the pump to reverse rotation. However, it is allowed that when the motor is powered off, the liquid in the pipe can backflow to cause the pump to reverse. However, it should be noted that when the height difference is particularly large (≥80m), the backflow of backwater should also be prevented from causing the pump to suddenly reverse.
- Maintenance
This series of submersible slurry pumps have been adjusted before leaving the factory. Customers do not need to disassemble and inspect unused pumps within 6 months after purchase. pay attention:
(1) Keep the equipment clean, dry, free of oil and leakage.
(2) Frequently check the pump operation for abnormal sound, vibration and leakage, and deal with problems in a timely manner if any problems are found.
(3) It is strictly prohibited to operate the pump in an evacuated state, because running the pump in an evacuated state will not only vibrate violently, but also affect the performance of the pump.
life span, special attention must be paid to it.
(4) It is strictly prohibited to enter metal objects and large solids that exceed the allowable passage of the pump, and it is strictly prohibited to enter rubber, cotton, plastic
Flexible materials such as cloth may damage the flow-passing parts and block the impeller flow path, causing the pump to not work properly.
(5) The standby pump should rotate 1/4 turn per week so that the pump shaft can evenly bear the static load and external vibration.
(6) Frequently check the looseness of the support mechanism of the water inlet and outlet pipeline system to ensure that the support is firm and the pump body is not subject to supporting force.
(7) Always check the fastening of the pump on the foundation. The connection should be firm and reliable.
(8) During daily inspection, rotate the oil cup once and press in the grease.
(9) Check the bearing temperature frequently, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 75℃.
(10) Check the liquid level in the pool
- Disassembly, inspection and assembly
Before assembling the pump, all parts should be thoroughly inspected and cleaned to see if the parts meet the usage requirements. If they are damaged, they must be repaired or replaced with new parts before assembly.
Assembly sequence and basic requirements for assembly:
(1) Rotor assembly assembly
The bearings used in slurry pumps are generally made in China and lubricated with grease. If the user has special requirements, they can be selected according to the requirements.
① Precautions for bearing assembly
- Bearings that have been inspected and certified as qualified must be used.
- Check the inner diameter, outer diameter, width of the bearing, the parallelism of both ends of the raceway and its surface roughness, as well as whether there are defects such as rust and spots, and whether the rotation is flexible.
- For angular contact bearings, find the center of the ball raceway, and determine whether to add pads and the thickness of the pads based on the height of the inner ring relative to the outer ring. The pad thickness is determined according to the guaranteed bearing standard clearance. Radial thrust bearings must not be installed backwards.
- When assembling detachable (separable inner and outer rings) bearings, they must be installed according to the alignment marks of the inner and outer rings and must not be installed randomly.
- For bearings that can be assembled in a U-turn, the numbered end should be facing outward during assembly for easy identification.
②Shaft assembly
- In order to avoid seizure with the mating surface, a layer of lubricating oil should be applied on the mounting surface before assembly to protect the shaft hole from damage.
- The bearing is installed using the hot loading method, which means placing the bearing in a heating box filled with oil and heating it to 80 to 100 degrees Celsius with the oil.
℃, its mating surface should be completely immersed in oil, a thermometer should be placed in the oil tank, and the temperature adjustment should be strictly controlled not to exceed 100℃. After hot installation, it should be cooled naturally, and sudden cooling is not allowed to avoid damage or deformation of parts.
- Install the rear bearing and gland first, then install the bearing body and upper bearing, install the sealing ring and round nut and tighten the bearing.
- Check whether the bearing and shaft shoulder are close to each other, and the rotation should be flexible and smooth. Then install the bearing housing. The assembly of the bearing box adopts the hot assembly method, and the requirements are the same as above.
(2) Install the impeller and volute
① Apply grease to the “T” thread of the impeller, install the impeller on the shaft, tighten it, and compact the sleeve or shoulder.
② Install the rear guard plate sealing ring.
③ Lift the volute, assemble it on the rear guard plate, and connect the bolts.
(3) Install the inlet filter and outlet pipe part
Place a 3mm thick rubber pad on the water outlet of the pump housing, tighten the bolts, and check whether the rubber pad is tight. If it is not pressed tightly, the rubber gasket should be thickened, and the gap between the outlet flange and the outlet plane of the pump casing should be not less than 1mm.
If there is an extension pipe at the import, when installing the extension pipe, put a 3mm thick rubber pad between the extension pipe and the pump casing, tighten the bolts, and check whether the rubber pad is tight. If it is not pressed tightly, the rubber gasket should be thickened, and the gap between the extension pipe flange and the pump casing inlet plane should be not less than 1mm.
(4) Assembly of other parts
① Install the pump coupling and motor coupling. After the motor and pump are aligned, check the motor steering. If correct, install the coupling pin apron or upper belt.
② Install the pulley cover (belt drive)
