UL Certified Series Fire Pumps

  • The outlet pressure at zero flow shall not be greater than 140% of the rated pressure;
  • The performance meets the requirements of rated flow (Qn) and rated pressure (Pn);
  • The outlet pressure shall not be lower than 65% of the rated pressure when the outlet pressure is 150% of the rated pressure;
  • When the inlet pressure is always positive pressure, the shaft power curve shall increase as the flow increases or gradually decrease (the maximum shaft powervalue occurs), and the distributed driver power shall be greater than or equal to the maximum shaft power value.

1.When testing the maximum shaft power, the water suction port of the fire water pump should absorb water under positive pressure;

2.Qn: Design working flow of fire water pump;

Pn: design lift of fire water pump;

3.Pmax: the outlet pressure of the fire water pump at zero flow;

4.P¹5o: The outlet pressure of the fire water pump at 1.5 times the rated flow point;

5.Nmax: maximum shaft power value (tested under positive pressure at the import)

-What is UL? 

 

UL (Underwrites Laboratories / Insurance Laboratory) is an independent certification body that sets product safety standards and tests the safety of products under these standards. UL has certified over 19,000 products. More than 20 million UL products manufactured by 7,200 factories worldwide are used every year. The UL has 64 testing laboratories in 98 countries, providing testing and certification services to its customers. UL has standards in many areas, such as building materials, food, lighting and fire protection systems.

what is FM?

 

FM (Factory Mutual / Factory Mutual) is an independent technical organization providing performance certification for the materials and systems of FM (I Factory Mutual Insurance / Factory Mutual Insurance) for private and high risk insurance.

The FM certification of fire pump is carried out according to the requirements of NFPA 20, but the FM certification also pursues some requirements other than NFPA 20, which is called the highest level of product quality certification, which is the most difficult certification method.
