- The installation method of the vertical sewage pump produced by our company is generally the lateral suction method.
- ▼ indicates the lowest liquid level. This liquid level ensures that the air in the pump can be drained before starting; the second is to ensure that no air is sucked in during operation; and the third is to ensure that cavitation does not occur when pumping higher temperature sewage.
- Before installing the pump, the cement base should be prefabricated, and there should be a groove in the middle of the base to accommodate the suction elbow.
- The suction elbow and its fasteners with the pump are provided by our company as a necessary complete set of supply parts. Anchor bolts must be prepared by the user or ordered separately from our company. When users need to install elbow pipes at the pump outlet, they can order separately from our company. When users need gate valves, they can also order additional ones from our company. It is recommended to purchase our company’s electric control cabinet and liquid level float switch.
- The flange dimensions in the installation diagram represent the discharge flange of the pump and the suction end flange of the suction elbow.
The setting of the float switch in drainage situations is as shown in the figure below:

Rated voltage, rated frequency:
The rated voltage of the WL type vertical sewage pump motor is 380V and the rated frequency is 50Hz.
turn around:
Viewed from the pump suction port, the impeller rotates counterclockwise.
Description of performance curves and main parameters:
Example 1(WL2130-242)

| Pump model | Flow channel size (mm) | Motor ratedPower (kW) | Rotating speed(r/min) | The unit is heavy (kg) |
| WL2130-242 | Oval 31×39 | 1.5 | 2840 | 76 |
The solid line part of the performance curve of Example 1 indicates the recommended use range of the pump. When the range is exceeded, the efficiency of the pump is very low or the motor is in danger of being overloaded. If the flow rate of the pump exceeds the limit on the right, the shaft power may exceed the rated power of the motor. When the medium temperature is high or the motor is not sufficiently cooled, the motor cannot work for a long time.
For all vertical sewage pumps, when the flow rate is less than the left limit, the shaft power of the pump is far lower than the rated power of the motor, and the unit efficiency is very low. In this case, it is very uneconomical to use a pump.
The diameter of the solids in the medium should not be larger than the minimum size of the flow channel, and it is recommended to be less than 80% of the minimum size of the flow channel. As shown in the figure, for the WL2210-476 pump, the diameter of the solids should not be larger than 55mm. The weight of the unit includes the weight of the base and the suction elbow.
WL series small vertical sewage pumps are mainly used in municipal engineering, building construction, industrial sewage and sewage treatment. They can be used to discharge sewage, wastewater, rainwater and urban sewage containing solid particles and various long fibers.
- The medium temperature does not exceed 80°C, the ambient temperature does not exceed 40°C, the medium density is ≤1050 kg/m3, and the PH value is within the range of 5 to 9.
- Minimum operating liquid level: See ▼ in the installation dimension diagram.
- The main parts of the pump are made of cast iron or ductile iron, so it cannot be used to pump highly corrosive liquids or media containing highly abrasive solid particles.
- The diameter of solid matter in the medium should not be greater than 80% of the minimum size of the flow channel. For the flow channel size, please refer to the “Main Parameters” column of each pump specification.
In order to make the pump you choose more suitable, users are warmly welcome to consult the company’s technical department for technical issues.
When ordering, please indicate: serial number, impeller number, flow parts material, and discharge diameter.
Vertical sewage pumps are generally installed with side suction. It is not recommended to use the vertical suction installation method (that is, the pool is below the pump), because when using the vertical suction installation method, it is not suitable to install a bottom valve as a sewage pump. If a bottom valve is not installed, a vacuum pump must be used to divert water, which is inconvenient for users. . Optional parts and spare parts must be ordered separately by the user.

Install
- Before installation, check whether the pump and motor are damaged, and check the tightening of fasteners.
- The weight of the pipeline should not be added to the water pump to avoid deformation of the pump.
- The anchor bolts must be tightened during installation.
- After installation, turn the motor fan blades. There should be no friction sound or stuck phenomenon in the impeller.
Start up
- The liquid level shall not be lower than the minimum liquid level when starting. The minimum liquid level is shown as ▼ in the installation diagram.
- Jog the motor and check the steering. Viewed from the top of the motor, it should rotate clockwise.
- Close the valve and pressure gauge on the outlet pipeline.
- Open the exhaust valve, start the motor, and turn on the pressure gauge. After the speed is normal, slowly open the outlet pipe valve to the required flow rate. Note: Do not turn the valve with the valve closed for a long time. After the air at the exhaust valve is exhausted or water overflows, close the exhaust valve.
Parking
- Slowly close the outlet gate valve, close the pressure gauge, and stop the motor.
- When parking for a long time, the pump should be removed, cleaned and reinstalled, and properly kept.
Maintain
- The use and maintenance of the motor should be carried out according to the instruction manual of the motor.
- Check the motor current value regularly. When the ambient temperature is the rated temperature of the motor, the current must not exceed
The rated current of the motor. When the ambient temperature is lower than the rated temperature of the motor, the current can be increased appropriately. Please refer to relevant information for the specific increased value. When the current is abnormal, the cause should be identified.
- After the pump has been running for a long time, if the noise and vibration of the unit increase due to mechanical wear, it should be stopped for inspection.
Check and replace wearing parts or bearings and mechanical seals if necessary. The overhaul period of the unit is generally one year. Under normal use conditions, the cumulative life of the mechanical seal is more than 8,000 hours.
