WQ/ES Series Light Chopped Sewage Pump
Q/ES light submersible chopping pump is a new type of chopping pump newly developed to meet market demand and combine the advantages of domestic and foreign chopping pumps. Professionally designed and manufactured submersible motors with protection grade IP68 and Class F insulation grade. The solid line part of the curve on the graph indicates the recommended use range of the pump. Users should carefully calculate the required flow head when selecting, so that the selected pump can work within the recommended range of use.
The weight of the pump does not include accessories for various installation methods, such as coupling devices, elbow joints, hose elbow joints, etc.

The WQ/ES chopped sewage pump has three installation methods: automatic coupling installation (Z), flexible hose movable installation (R) and hard pipe movable installation (Y). The moving installation of hoses and hard pipes is simple and does not need to be elaborated. The following is an introduction to automatic coupling installation:
Automatic coupling installation eliminates the need for conventional fasteners to connect the pump to the pipe. The coupling device only has four parts: outlet pipe seat, guide rod, guide rod frame, and coupling frame. The guide rod only plays a guiding role and is not subject to force. It can be cut to the required length according to the depth of the pool with ordinary water pipes or steel pipes, so users can bring their own. During installation, install the outlet pipe seat, guide rod, and guide rod frame, install the coupling frame on the pump body, lift the pump, insert the semicircular hole on the coupling frame into the guide rod, and slide the pump down along the guide rod. At the end, the coupling frame will be aligned and fastened with the outlet pipe seat. When the pump needs to be repaired, just lift the pump upwards and the pump will be separated from the outlet pipe seat. This installation method facilitates pump maintenance.
Since the coupling device and the pump are relatively independent, if your pump station needs to be replaced with a low-lift or high-lift pump of the same caliber due to changes in conditions, you can still use the original coupling device.

Viewed from the pump suction port, the impeller rotates counterclockwise.
Light blue (U), black (V), and brown (W) are three-phase power lines. The yellow/green two-color wire is the ground wire.

CAD technology is used to repeatedly modify the design to optimally match the impeller and the cutting module. Long fibers can easily pass through after being chopped without getting entangled and blocked. The impeller is strictly balanced, resulting in small vibration and smooth operation of the pump.
- Highly reliable submersible motor
The specially designed and manufactured submersible motor has a protection level of IP68 and a stator winding with Class F insulation. Due to the good cooling effect during submersible operation, the actual temperature rise of the winding is low, making the motor more durable.
The motor dissipates heat through the casing. As long as the medium submerges half of the height of the motor stator, it can run reliably and safely. The more submerged, the more conducive to the cooling of the motor.
The cable is a sewage-resistant heavy-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cable. The cable core cross-section is selected for continuous full-load operation at an ambient temperature of 40°C, and is very reliable. The cables are fixed twice on the handle to avoid damage during transportation, installation and use.
3. The motor has tight sealing and strict inspection.
1) Shaft sealing
Two independent single-end mechanical seals are arranged on the pump side and motor side respectively to form two shaft seals. The leakage volume is only less than one-tenth of the double-end mechanical seal. The lubricating oil in the oil chamber lubricates and cools the friction pair of the motor side mechanical seal.
The mechanical seal on the pump side that contacts the medium uses a silicon carbide/silicon carbide “hard-to-hard” friction pair, which has high hardness and low friction coefficient and is not prone to wear and failure;
The mechanical seal on the motor side, which is entirely immersed in oil, uses a graphite/silicon carbide “soft-to-hard” friction pair. The friction coefficient is very low and it is easy to “run in”, making the seal reliable. The small gap between the impeller and the pump cover can prevent impurities from entering the shaft seal cavity while maintaining good working conditions of the mechanical seal. The rubber parts of the mechanical seal are made of nitrile rubber with excellent oil resistance, and the springs and other structural parts are made of stainless steel.
2) Complete sealing of cables
The WQ/ES pump motor cable adopts a fully sealed structure with a cast head. The cable sheath, cable core and cast head are vulcanized into a whole to ensure that water will not enter the motor cavity through the cable sheath or the gap between the wire cores. However, the cable ends should not be exposed to water. Water entering the cable will seriously reduce the insulation resistance of the cable and affect safety.
3) Seal between parts
O-rings are used as reliable static seals at the joints and fits between the parts.
4) Sealing inspection
Parts can only be assembled after passing the pressure test. Each pump undergoes strict air pressure tests during and after assembly to ensure the sealing of the motor.
- Reliable bearing configuration
Use famous brand and high-quality deep groove ball bearings or double row angular contact bearings, which have sufficient load margin to ensure reliable operation of the product.
- Cutting module
The cutting knife rotates at high speed with the rotor and forms a shearing effect with the cutting disc. The inhaled long fibers are rotated and sheared at high speed. The chopped fibers enter the pump body and are thrown into the pipeline following the rotation of the impeller and discharged. The cutting knife is made of stainless steel and heat-treated. The blade has sufficient hardness and can maintain strong cutting performance for a long time.
- Independent cutting module, good cutting function and not easy to block. As long as it can enter through the suction port, it can be easily chopped. It can transport light wastewater, septic tanks, hospital sewage and other media containing long thin fibers, and large particle media cannot be transported. The shredding function prevents the pump and pipes from being blocked by debris in the sewage. However, in order to better ensure the reliability of water pump operation, it is recommended to set up a dirt-blocking device in the environment outside the medium.
- The cutting module is made of stainless steel and has been heat-treated. The blade has sufficient hardness and can maintain strong cutting ability for a long time. If the cutting capacity decreases after long-term operation, the cutting module can be replaced separately.
- Both the pump side and the motor side are equipped with mechanical seals to achieve reliable double submersible shaft seal protection for the motor. The oil in the oil chamber fully lubricates and cools the mechanical seal.

- The standard length of the motor cable is 10m. If other lengths are required, please indicate it when ordering and indicate it on the order.
- Complete sets of supplied parts are supplied according to the installation method selected by the user. Optional parts and spare parts must be ordered separately by the user.
Due to the simple design of the coupling device, the guide rod only needs to use ordinary water pipes or steel pipes. We have previously provided the specifications and length calculation method of the water pipe or steel pipe used as a guide rod. Users only need to purchase the water pipe or steel pipe by themselves, cut it to the required length, and then use it. Therefore, when the guide rod is not installed as a coupling complete set of supplied parts. When the user needs the guide rod provided by our company, he must order it separately and write it into the order.

- Overview of control cabinet products
The KQK-E control cabinet for this series of submersible sewage pumps of 7.5KW and below, and the KQK-B control cabinet for submersible sewage pumps of 11KW and above, are an automatic control system that is economical, applicable, safe, reliable, and easy to maintain. The control cabinet uses low-voltage electrical appliances and liquid level sensors from well-known domestic and foreign brands. The KQK-E type control cabinet has short circuit, phase loss, and overload functions; the KQK-B type control cabinet also has motor cavity leakage, oil leakage, and motor cavity leakage on the basis of KQK-E. Protection functions such as room water leakage and winding overheating. The control cabinet can adopt ordinary relay control or panel controller control schemes, and is equipped with float level switches, water level electrodes and other liquid level sensors. When unattended, the start and stop of the water pump can be automatically controlled according to the level of the liquid level. Except for single-control products, all products with main and backup pump control have the function of automatically shutting down the faulty pump and automatically putting the backup pump on. Two-pump and three-pump control cabinets can realize automatic alternating or cyclic operation to achieve equal running time of each pump.
The control cabinet components with general configuration are mainly from well-known domestic brands such as Tianzheng, Chint, and Delixi; the control cabinet components with high-end configuration are mainly from internationally renowned brands such as Schneider, Siemens, and ABB.

Auto-coupling step-down starting
It refers to the use of autotransformer to reduce the starting voltage applied to the stator winding of the motor when starting the motor. After the motor starts, disconnect the motor from the autotransformer so that it can operate normally under full voltage.

Different taps of the autotransformer can be selected according to the allowed starting current and the required starting torque to achieve step-down starting, and it can be used regardless of the Y or △ connection method of the stator winding of the motor.

Electronic soft start
The soft starter connected in series between the power supply and the controlled motor controls the conduction angle of the internal semiconductor (thyristor), so that the motor input voltage gradually increases from zero according to a preset functional relationship until the start is completed, giving the motor full voltage. The voltage is slowly increased from zero to the rated voltage, so that the starting current of the motor during the starting process is changed from uncontrollable overload impact current to controllable and the starting current can be adjusted as needed.

There is no impact torque during the entire starting process and the motor is started smoothly. Various parameters during the starting process, such as current limit value, starting time, etc., can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the motor load. Soft parking can also be achieved. Due to the use of semiconductor converter technology, high-order harmonics will be generated, causing pollution to the power grid.
