Kaiquan axial flow pumps help flood control and improvement projects

Liaohe River mainstream flood control and improvement project is a national water network backbone project and one of the 150 major water conservancy projects that the country is focusing on.
The main construction tasks are to implement embankment reinforcement and new embankments on the basis of existing flood control projects, to control floods in dangerous sections of tributaries and estuaries, and to build traffic bridges.
The total length of the management is 538 kilometers, involving 14 counties (districts) and 1 state-owned farm in Tieling, Shenyang, Anshan, and Panjin. The implementation of the project will be of great significance to ensuring the safety of Liaoning’s mother river, implementing the ecological civilization strategy, accelerating the revitalization and development of Liaoning, and promoting the Liaohe River.
As one of the earliest industry leaders in China focusing on hydraulic transportation research and production, Kaiquan has been committed to providing efficient, energy-saving and reliable water pumps and motor equipment for water conservancy projects.
Project progress
Kaiquan stood out from many strong competitors and won the bid for the Liaohe River mainstream flood control and improvement project in Liaoning Province. (Pump and motor procurement), the winning bid amount exceeded 50 million yuan, and provided 109 vertical axial flow pumps, 94 asynchronous motors with power of 30KW~450KW, 15 synchronous motors with power of 630KW~900KW, 113 sets of transmission devices, 15 sets of excitation devices and accessories, spare parts, special tools, etc. for the Liaohe River mainstream flood control and improvement project.
After the project is put into operation, it will further accelerate the comprehensive management and ecological restoration of the Liaohe River Basin, and provide a strong guarantee for the goal of “building the Liaohe River into a happy river that benefits the people of the whole province”.
During this period, Kaiquan’s products and services were highly recognized and praised by the Liaohe Project Construction Party.
Among them, Yugangzi Drainage Station 1, as the main drainage channel for flood water in Xinglongtai District and Dawa District of Panjin City, undertakes the important task of drainage safety for more than 1.2 million people and more than 100,000 acres of farmland.
In order to seize the golden period of construction before the flood season and realize the flood control and drainage functions as soon as possible, Kaiquan actively cooperated with all parties involved in the construction to complete the installation of 3 units within 15 days, making great contributions to ensuring the flood control and flood safety of Yugangzi Drainage Station 1.
Project completed
It is worth mentioning that the axial flow pump used in the project is the flagship product of the water conservancy sector that Kaiquan has been promoting. Since its production, it has been well received by customers for its “excellent performance and stable operation”.
In 2012, it was used in the Huai’an Second Station of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The impeller diameter of the unit is 4.5 meters. It is still as new as ever after operation and has been unanimously recognized by the Jiangsu Irrigation Main Canal.
In addition to this classic project, Kaiquan has established nearly 500 large pumping stations across the country, including key projects such as the East Line and Middle Line of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the Yangtze River to Huaihe River Diversion Project, the Yellow River Diversion Project, and the Taihu Lake Management Project, and has also contributed solid strength to the high-quality development of my country’s water conservancy project construction.
Development significance
2023 is the first year of the three-year action plan for comprehensive revitalization and new breakthroughs in Liaoning Province. It is also a key year for the comprehensive start of construction of the Liaohe River Project and the decisive victory in the three-year completion target set by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. The task is very arduous.
