80,000 cubic meters of daily processing capacity! Kaiquan integrated prefabricated pump station makes urban drainage smoother
In the process of urban development, rainwater and sewage separation, as a key measure for upgrading urban infrastructure, has become increasingly strategically significant. Recently, news came from the “rainwater and sewage separation” project in the old city of Dachuan undertaken by Kaiquan. Since it was put into operation in July 2023, it has been running stably. It has successfully solved the problem of sewage overflow in the old city and the peak water volume regulation of the Dazhou sewage treatment plant, and built an indestructible green barrier for the ecological environment along the Zhou River, a tributary of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.

Kaiquan, as a leader in the field of domestic water treatment, has always been at the forefront of technology and is committed to providing a full-chain water supply and drainage solution from water source to terminal, ensuring the efficient use of water resources and the harmonious coexistence of the ecological environment.
This project is located on the bank of Zhouhe River, a tributary of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is an important project of the Central Environmental Protection Inspection Team for Ecological and Environmental Protection of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Faced with the urgent construction period and complex technical challenges in the early stage of the project, Kaiquan
relying on its profound industry experience and innovation capabilities, responded quickly and customized two integrated prefabricated pump stations with a diameter of 5 meters.
The pump station can handle 80,000 cubic meters of water per day, accurately distinguish between rainwater and sewage, and discharge rainwater directly into the river. Sewage is efficiently transported to the Dazhou Sewage Treatment Plant through a dedicated pipeline network for treatment, effectively avoiding the pollution of the river caused by direct discharge of sewage. In addition, the project also built 14 sets of vacuum flushing devices for regulating and storing tanks, with a storage capacity of 40,000 cubic meters, and installed two sets of advanced biological deodorization equipment.
Compared with the traditional concrete structure pump station, Kaiquan integrated prefabricated pump station has obvious advantages:
★ Smaller footprint, improved land utilization;
★ Shorter construction period, shortened construction period;
★ Lower project budget, saving costs.
About Kaiquan Reservoir Vacuum Flushing Device

The vacuum flushing system consists of a water storage chamber, a vacuum valve, a vacuum pump and an electronic control system. The storage tank using the vacuum flushing system consists of a water storage chamber, a rainwater storage area and a flushing water discharge area. Its advantages are as follows:
★ There is no rotating equipment in the pool, and all parts do not need to enter the pool for maintenance
★ Good flushing effect (high flushing head)
★ Less restricted by the pool shape

After the project was completed, it successfully solved the problem of sewage overflow along the old city of Dachuan District, and effectively alleviated the problem of untimely treatment of Dazhou Sewage Plant during peak water use. The daily treatment capacity can reach the designed water volume of 100,000 cubic meters, which significantly improved the quality of life of residents in Dachuan District and was highly recognized by customers and the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau.
