Full Load Endurance Test
Recently, the Kaiquan KQMY1300-215/1100 submersible oil pump successfully completed performance testing and officially entered the 72-hour full-load endurance test phase. During the endurance test, three start-up and shutdown tests were conducted in accordance with the test outline. Operating indicators such as current, flow rate, head, vibration, and noise remained stable. After the test, the insulation resistance remained unchanged compared to pre-test levels, and disassembly inspection of components revealed no damage.
This endurance test achieved the goals of “zero failures, zero leakage, and zero wear.” This not only verifies the pump’s quality but also provides strong support for China’s strategic oil reserves’ continued readiness and operational readiness.

Submersible Oil Pumps
Submersible oil pumps are critical equipment in large underground water-sealed caverns. They are responsible for pumping crude oil from the caverns to the surface. The caverns create a “water seal” by stabilizing the groundwater level, with oil at the top and water at the bottom. Submersible oil pumps are suspended from the surface to the oil reservoir via the wellbore and are permanently immersed in crude oil or refined oil.
Structurally, the Kaiquan submersible oil pump is a large vertical, multi-stage impeller, and long-suspension submersible electric pump. This endurance test covered the pump, motor, suction casing, pull pipe, surface components, and lubricating oil system.

Kaiquan Once Again Breaks Industry Limits
As one of the pioneers in the localization of submersible oil pumps in China, Kaiquan completed the localization of an 800kW submersible oil pump for an underground oil depot project in 2012, reaching internationally advanced standards. This new pump boasts significantly improved flow and head, superior performance, and a power output of 1100kW, with an efficiency exceeding 88%. This once again breaks industry limits, achieving a significant leap forward in submersible oil pump design, production, and testing.
Increasing Submersible Oil Pump R&D Efforts
Moving forward, Kaiquan Pump Industry will leverage this 1100kW submersible oil pump endurance test as an opportunity to continuously strengthen its R&D efforts in submersible oil pumps featuring high flow, high head, high power, and high reliability. This aims to provide longer-lasting, more energy-efficient, and more reliable pumping solutions for national strategic oil reserve depots and ultra-large underground water-sealed caverns worldwide. Let the strength of China’s pump industry be delivered to every deep well in the caverns, contributing to a renewed commitment to safeguarding energy security.
