In older communities lacking secondary pressurization, residents living on the fifth floor and above frequently faced insufficient water pressure. “Water basically never reached the fifth floor; it was only supplied for a short time at noon,” became the norm.
Last year, a renovation project led by the Hohhot Municipal Housing and Construction Department brought a turning point to the community. The construction of a semi-underground booster pump station allowed this community of nine buildings and 250 households to completely say goodbye to the “timed water fetching” lifestyle.

The transformation of the Horticulture Institute community began with the pump room renovation project. Simultaneously, the equipment also achieves intelligent management. Staff can monitor the pump room’s operating status in real time through a remote monitoring system, saving labor costs.

The completion of the renovation has brought a qualitative change to the lives of residents in the Horticulture Institute community. Looking from the Horticulture Institute residential area to the entire city of Hohhot, the blueprint for water supply renovation in 460 communities is gradually becoming a reality.
