Leading the Rise of China’s Pump Industry with the Spirit of Striving Individuals

Thirty years of continuous progress is a chronicle of technological innovation and an epic sung by countless strivers. The “footprints of progress” are scattered across the land, and the “moments of driving” illuminate the journey.

The Pioneers of Technological Heights

In countless late nights in the laboratory, beside the roaring test benches, they charged towards one technological barrier after another.

For the dream of domestic production of main feedwater pumps for nuclear power plants, the R&D team spent ten years honing their skills. Faced with international technological blockades, they did not back down, revising and restarting thousands of solutions and analyzing and comparing tens of thousands of sets of data. Finally, the CAP1400/CAP100 series emerged, breaking the decades-long foreign monopoly and allowing the “Chinese core” to beat powerfully in core nuclear power equipment.

From the structural innovation of the national-level new product KQL pump, to the submersible pump technology winning the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and then to the clear water centrifugal pump winning the “Manufacturing Single Champion” title. Behind every “moment of propulsion” lies countless calculations, experiments, failures, and re-emergence. They are silent craftsmen, yet they define Kaiquan’s achievements with the most powerful voice of technology.

Guardians of a Great Nation’s Projects

From the thousand-mile waterway of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project to the solar thermal power plants on the snowy plateaus. From fire protection for urban landmarks to the steel lifeline of mega-projects, their presence is ubiquitous.

At the Huai’an Second Station of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the axial flow pump with an impeller diameter of 4.5 meters, which has been operating stably for over ten years, embodies the hard work of the on-site engineers.

They spend years with the equipment, guarding the safe northward delivery of this “life-giving water” through countless sleepless nights of inspection.

At the Liaohe River flood control project site, to ensure the timely commissioning of 109 vertical axial flow pumps, the project team braved wind and rain, trudging through mud, treating the “delivery date” as an ironclad rule. When the water pumps start up, safeguarding the safety of 1.2 million people and tens of thousands of acres of fertile land, all the hardships transform into proud smiles on their faces.

Guardians on Customer Sites

The workshops, mines, and refineries of their customers are their second battlefield. They fulfill their promise of “full lifecycle service” with their expertise and hard work.

The team serving over 30,000 petrochemical enterprises is accustomed to being “ready to go at any time.” One phone call, and they rush to the site, using their superb skills to diagnose and treat the customer’s production line.

The fact that the KD series turbine pump saves the customer 730,000 yuan in electricity costs annually is the best proof of their value.

From Handan Puyang Steel to ArcelorMittal’s international service engineers in South Africa, they bring Kaiquan’s equipment and technology, crossing mountains and seas. Languages may differ, but the roar of the equipment running stably is their shared “universal language.”

Inheritors of Wisdom and Hard Work

At the “Postdoctoral Research Station” and “National Enterprise Technology Center,” senior experts and young talents learn from each other, sparking intellectual exchanges. Every stroke on the technical blueprints, every verification on the high-precision test bench, is the best way to inherit “craftsmanship.”

From innovating the traditional pump structure in 1996 to winning the “National Manufacturing Single Champion” title in 2024, thirty years of technological accumulation and cultural genes have been passed down, continued, and sublimated by generations of Kaiquan employees. Rivers flow on, but only those who strive tirelessly; industrial rise is achieved through hard work.

Thirty years ago, they set sail with the initial aspiration of serving the country through the pump industry; over the past thirty years, it is these tens of thousands of Kaiquan employees who have used their youth, wisdom, and hard work to forge this initial aspiration into industry-leading strength.

They may not stand at the very center of the podium, but their mark is etched on the nation’s heavy equipment, their contributions flow in the pulse of the city, and their names are deeply engraved on the monument to the rise of China’s pump industry.
