On September 27, 2024, the “2024 Petrochemical Industry (Pump) Equipment Update and Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Technology Forum” was successfully held in Shanghai, hosted by the China Energy Conservation Association and the China Chemical Energy Conservation Technology Association and organized by Shanghai Kaiquan Pump Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. The forum attracted nearly 400 experts, scholars and heating colleagues from all over the country to conduct in-depth technical exchanges on the green, efficient, energy-saving, and intelligent development of the petrochemical industry and advanced pump equipment.

In his speech, Lin Kaiwen said that as the world’s attention to climate change increases, the water pump industry is also facing severe carbon emission challenges.
Kaiquan actively responds to the national energy conservation and emission reduction policy. Since 2016, it has continued to increase investment in hydraulic research and development and performance improvement. So far, it has invested a total of 750 million yuan and achieved more than 80 excellent hydraulic models and results.
In the fields of nuclear power, large-scale thermal power and petrochemicals, the group has completed the identification of 26 major new products and achieved a number of first-of-its-kind breakthroughs.
In terms of energy-saving transformation, Kaiquan has completed more than 4,764 projects, with an estimated power saving of 2.686 billion kWh, electricity bills of 1.88 billion yuan, and a reduction of 2.192 million tons of carbon emissions.
In addition, he also mentioned Kaiquan’s value-added services in water pump evaluation, diagnosis, and testing, and hoped that the industry would develop in a greener and more sustainable direction in the future.

China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of chemical products, and pump equipment is widely used in large quantities. Use CFD flow field analysis and Flowmaster software to model and analyze the circulating water system, optimize the pipeline layout, and provide system flow and pressure conditions after different pump types are combined in parallel units,
to ensure that the operating parameters of wide and high-efficiency pumps are efficient as system requirements and environment changes, and further improve the overall energy efficiency of the system.
