Shanxi Water Conservancy “Quality Month” Observation Meeting
On the afternoon of October 14th, an on-site observation meeting, a key component of the Shanxi Provincial Water Conservancy Department’s “Quality Month” activities, was successfully held at the Kaiquan Taiyuan Smart Exhibition Hall.
This event, a key initiative within the Shanxi Provincial Water Conservancy System to promote high-quality development, aims to enhance industry quality awareness through on-site demonstrations and technical exchanges, and promote the sharing of advanced technologies and management experience.
The event, hosted by Kaiquan’s Taiyuan branch, invited nearly 100 representatives from the Shanxi Provincial Water Conservancy System and municipal water conservancy bureaus to attend.
They witnessed Kaiquan’s latest achievements in water pump R&D, manufacturing, quality control, and customized solutions.

During the exhibition hall tour, the delegation focused on the core water utilization pump area and the integrated urban and rural water supply equipment display area.
Targeting Shanxi’s unique water system management, flood control and drainage, and water supply security needs, Kaiquan showcased a series of innovative products: high-flow submersible axial flow pumps, high-efficiency full-flow pumps, multi-stage double-suction pumps, integrated pump gates, and complete sets of smart pumping station equipment.
These products featured details such as an anti-clogging impeller design optimized for Shanxi’s complex water conditions, and an intelligent water leakage monitoring and temperature rise protection system. These details fully embodied the product philosophy of “design based on needs, safety guaranteed by quality,” earning high praise from the delegation.
In-depth Analysis by the Kaiquan Technical Team
During subsequent discussions, the Kaiquan technical team conducted an in-depth analysis of Shanxi’s unique geographical and hydrological conditions and the practical needs of water conservancy projects. They highlighted three targeted solutions: addressing the high sediment content in the Shanxi section of the Yellow River Basin; and extending equipment life by optimizing pump flow paths and using wear-resistant materials. To address the challenges of integrated urban and rural water supply and the maintenance of small pumping stations in mountainous areas, we developed an intelligent operation and maintenance system for outdoor pumping stations, integrating remote monitoring and intelligent early warning systems. This system effectively reduces maintenance costs. Through standardized and modular design, we ensure the efficient integration of the equipment into existing water conservancy projects.
After listening to the report, Pan Zhigang, Director of the Construction Department of the Provincial Water Resources Department, and Liu Gerui, Deputy Director of the Planning Department of the Provincial Water Resources Department, and other leaders expressed their full appreciation for Kaiquan’s technical strength and quality management system.
